Welcome to Susquehanna Boat Works!

Susquehanna Boat Works (SBW) is a family-oriented recreational yacht club located on the Susquehanna River at Long Level in York County, Pennsylvania.

Seasonal memberships are available for power boaters; non-motorized boaters with sailboats, kayaks, canoes, rowing shells, etc.; and for social members without boats.

Susquehanna Boat Works offers these amenities for members:

  • A boat ramp to launch trailered boats
  • Moorings for boats kept on the water with a dingy for retrieval
  • Outside storage areas for non-motorized water craft
  • Four docks for loading and unloading and tying-up when you take a break
  • A recreational riverfront lawn area with beautiful views, an open-air pavilion, barbeque grills, lawn furniture and a fire ring
  • A modest riverfront clubhouse in the lower level of the barn for changing, food staging, and refuge from inclement weather
  • Winter boat storage, inside, outside, or under-shed
  • Several covered dish social events during the season offering an opportunity for members to get to know each other
  • Private Parties (The recreation lot and pavilion are available for private parties at certain times by prior arrangement.)

Susquehanna Boat Works' mission is to provide a unique and fun boating and social experience in a scenic riverfront setting. Membership is limited to avoid overcrowding and facility improvements are planned annually. Weekdays during the spring and fall, you may also enjoy watching the Franklin & Marshall crew team which rows out of SBW.
